Development Impact Fee Reports

The City imposes fees to mitigate the impact of development pursuant to the Mitigation Fee Act, Government Code Section 66000 et seq. Each local agency is required within 180 days after the last day of each fiscal year to make available to the public the following information: a brief description of the type of fee in the accounts, the amount of fees collected and the interest earned, the beginning and ending balance of the accounts, identification of each public improvement on which fees were expended, the amount of expenditure for each public facility or improvement made from the account during the year, and other specified information as applicable.

The City maintains and accounts for the following development fees:

  • Affordable Housing In-Lieu Fee (for developments with 9 or less units, otherwise the development is required to include 15% of units as deed restricted affordable) 
  • Linkage Fee (Only applicable to commercial, industrial, retail developments) 
  • Parks and Recreation Fee (Charged on residential developments to the extent that the required park area is not provided in the development) 
  • Traffic Impact Fee (TIF) 
  • Sewer Connection Fee 
  • Water Connection Fee 
  • Water Conservation Fee 
  • Fire Impact Fee (A City fee established on behalf of the Rancho Adobe Fire District)
