Please avoid using West Sierra Avenue between Cypress Avenue and Water Road due to a temporary road closure. Due to the storm, a tree damaged a support pole for a power transmission/distribution line in this area. Given the risk of the support pole completely breaking and the power pole potentially falling into the roadway with live power lines, West Sierra Avenue has been temporarily closed between Water Road and Cypress Avenue. PG&E was notified of the issue and the City will reopen West Sierra as soon as possible.
