Join us for the second annual Climate Ready Cotati Fair! The Fair is FREE and will feature community organizations and agencies providing resources and information that you can use. In addition, join us for activities to help you reduce, reuse, and recycle . . . and have fun!

WHEN: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM on March 28, 2026
WHERE: Cotati SMART Depot, 970 East Cotati Avenue, Cotati, CA 94931

Door Prize Drawing – Visit the City of Cotati booth to learn more about our great programs and how to win a door prize. Complete a mini scavenger hunt for a chance to win a gift card or other exciting prize (Drawings will be held every half hour during the Fair, but you don’t need to be present to win).

Learn and Get Inspired – 40 local agencies and organizations will be at the Fair to share resources, information, and ideas to help you live a more sustainable lifestyle and have a positive impact on the environment. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see who's participating, and click on the logos to learn more about each participant.

Feeling Hungry? – Cotati's own Sal's Pizza and Dogs A La Carte will offer great food for sale, featuring reusable dishes provided by Sparkl Reusables to reduce disposables waste. Volunteers are needed! Sparkl is requesting volunteers to help fairgoers return the reusable dishware and understand the importance of a low waste event. Additional tasks include inspecting receptacles for misplaced reusables and helping attendees with proper sorting. Volunteers will work closely with the staff at Sparkl Reusables to conduct this outreach. Time commitment can be for any duration during the fair. To sign up for this opportunity, please email Brendan Smith at admin@sparklreusables.com

Kids’ Activities – Sandy Loam will provide free activities for our younger Fair-goers. Learn more about Sandy Loam's Youth Enrichment here.

Tree Giveaway – Sign up for a chance to win a 15-gallon fruit tree! Enter the drawing at the City of Cotati booth between 10am and 1:45pm. The winner will be called shortly after 1:45. Please be prepared to pick up the tree by 2pm. Note you will likely need a truck, SUV, or similar vehicle to transport a tree of this size.

Clothing Swap – Time to clean out your closets! Bring a bag of clean, gently used clothing to contribute to the swap, then check out the array of new-to-you treasures and take home as many as you like. (Sorry, you’ll have to guestimate the fit as we won’t have a place to try the clothes on.) Women's, Men's and Children's items welcome. Quality wearables only! Please leave tired, ragged or dirty items at home. Hangers and racks will be available for coats, costumes, professional and dressy clothing. All clothes left at the end of the Fair will be donated to charity. Organized by Zero Waste Action - Sonoma County and Community Bikes.

Clothing Mending Bar – SRJC Fashion Studies and Fashion Club will offer a FREE mending bar for small fixes to your favorite clothes. Bring matching thread, patches, buttons, zippers, etc. if possible to ensure success.  In addition, SRJC Fashion Students will host live mending demonstrations  to show participants techniques for mending their own clothes at home.

Small Appliance Repair – Extend the life of your lamps, vacuum cleaners, and other small appliances and textiles that just need a little fix. Bring them to the Fair, along with any parts you might have for the repair, and a repair coach from the ReUse Alliance will work to fix your item and show you how it’s done. First-come, first-served. Sorry, no microwaves or cell phones.

E-Waste Drop Off – Have an old cell phone or computer that no longer works? Conservation Corps North Bay will have a recycling bin available for electronic waste. The bin will be stationed on Depot Way (entrance street to the SMART parking lot) near the train tracks. For eligible e-waste items, please click here.

Bike Repairs – Flat tire? Loose brakes? Time to replace the chain? The Fair’s volunteer bike mechanic will complete free, minor repairs for you on the spot. Bring the needed parts if you can. First-come, first-served, during the Fair hours of 10-2.

Book/Puzzle/Game Swap – Tired of your old books, puzzles, and games? Bring one or more to our swap and take home some new-to-you entertainment.

Free Rides – Redwood Bikeshare will offer free e-bike rides to demo the region’s bikesharing service, from our very own pod at the Cotati SMART Station.

Bike-Powered Smoothies – Pedal your way to a free smoothie with the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition’s bike-powered blender!
